Ingredients
For the Coconut Filling
- 2 cups (160–180 g) shredded coconut (unsweetened or sweetened)
- ½ cup (120 ml) sweetened condensed milk (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
For the Chocolate Coating
- 200–250 g chocolate (dark, milk, or semi-sweet)
- 1 tsp coconut oil or butter (for smooth coating)
Instructions
1. Blend the Filling
- Add coconut, condensed milk, vanilla, and salt to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until it forms a thick, sticky mixture.
👉 It should hold together when pressed—like a soft dough.
2. Shape the Bars
- Scoop and shape into small rectangles or logs (like mini candy bars).
- Place on a tray lined with parchment paper.
3. Chill
- Freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.
👉 This makes dipping MUCH easier.
4. Melt the Chocolate
- Melt chocolate with coconut oil (microwave in 20-second bursts or double boiler).
- Stir until smooth and glossy.
5. Coat the Bars
- Dip each coconut bar into melted chocolate.
- Let excess drip off, then place back on parchment.
6. Set
- Chill for 10–15 minutes until chocolate hardens.

Q&A / Tips
Can I make it healthier?
Yes:
- Use unsweetened coconut + maple syrup instead of condensed milk
- Use dark chocolate (70%+)
Why is my mixture too dry?
- Add 1–2 tbsp more condensed milk or coconut cream
Too sticky?
- Add a bit more shredded coconut
Can I skip the blender?
Yes—just mix well in a bowl, but blending gives a smoother texture.
How do I get smooth chocolate coating?
- Add coconut oil
- Make sure bars are cold before dipping
Storage
- Fridge: up to 1 week
- Freezer: up to 2 months
Flavor Variations
- Almond version: add a whole almond inside (like a Bounty/Almond Joy)
- Lemon coconut: add lemon zest
- Protein boost: mix in 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Pro Tips
- Use a fork to dip bars for cleaner coating
- Sprinkle sea salt on top for a sweet-salty upgrade
- Let chocolate set at room temp for a softer bite
