Bang Bang Salmon Recipe

Crispy, tender salmon coated in a creamy sweet-spicy Bang Bang sauce—restaurant-worthy but super easy at home.


 Ingredients

Salmon

  • 500 g (1 lb) salmon fillets, skin removed
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for extra crisp)
  • 1–2 tbsp oil (olive or avocado)

Bang Bang Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1–2 tbsp sriracha (adjust heat)
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar or lemon juice

Garnish (Optional)

  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped green onions
  • Lime wedges

 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Salmon

  1. Pat salmon dry and cut into large cubes or leave as fillets.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cornstarch (if using).

2️⃣ Cook the Salmon

Pan-Fry (Best for Crispiness):

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook salmon 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

OR Air Fry:

  • Air fry at 200°C / 400°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping once.

OR Bake:

  • Bake at 200°C / 400°F for 12–15 minutes.

3️⃣ Make Bang Bang Sauce

  • Whisk all sauce ingredients until smooth and creamy.

4️⃣ Combine

  • Drizzle or brush sauce over hot salmon or gently toss salmon in sauce.
