Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Zucchini
- Preheat oven to 190°C / 375°F.
- Lightly salt zucchini slices and let sit 10 minutes.
- Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Step 2: Sauté
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Sauté onion until soft (3–4 minutes).
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
- Toss in zucchini and cook 3–5 minutes until just tender.

Step 3: Make the Cheese Mixture
- In a bowl, whisk sour cream and egg.

- Spread evenly into a greased baking dish.
- Add breadcrumb topping if using.

- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
